I made three of these

long narrow totems. Each painted

and collaged with embellished found objects.

I love the red antique game piece near the top,

it has a spider image on it. Anyone

know what game that might have come from?

November is flying by!!!

I have not worked on any new

pieces for a couple of weeks. This time

of year always throws me. How did it get to be Nov. 12

already?? I will participate in a holiday show

with a small group of artists the first weekend

in December but most of my energy is

going to gearing up for the Holidays. I'm also

trying to work on my studio, if only I had a "wall stretcher"

to give me an extra 5 feet of space! I'm sure

I'd fill that up too!

I took the photo of this chalkboard

in Benton Harbor Michigan

several years ago. It was just on the outside

of an old building with this message to "Jimmie"

on it. I always knew I would use the image

someday.  I found the school photo in an

antique shop in Ohio when we were returning from the

Columbus Art Festival this Summer.

Kentuck was the first time I showed

the work. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

I just finished my last art fair

for the season. Met some wonderful people,

sold some of my favorite work and saw new

parts of the country. I will take a short break

then start applying for shows in 2012. If you

are interested in any work, shoot me an email.
